St. Tryphonas
Her/His Story
Saint Tryphonas was a Christian martyr from Phrygia, renowned for his deep faith, humility, and compassion from a young age. He was gifted with the ability to heal the sick and cast out demons, using these blessings to glorify God and serve those in need. During the persecution of Christians under Emperor Decius, St. Tryphonas refused to renounce his faith in Christ despite severe torture. He was ultimately martyred, becoming a powerful witness of courage, unwavering devotion, and trust in God. In the Orthodox Church, he is especially honored as the protector of farmers, vineyards, gardens, and those who work the land.
