St. ValentineÂ
Her/His Story
Saint Valentine was a Christian priest and martyr who lived in Rome during the 3rd century under Emperor Claudius II. According to tradition, he secretly performed Christian marriages at a time when marriage was forbidden for young soldiers, believing that love and faith strengthened the soul. For his compassion, courage, and devotion to Christ, he was imprisoned and ultimately martyred. His life became a lasting symbol of selfless love, sacrifice, and fidelity grounded in faith.
