St. TryphonÂ
Her/His Story
St. Tryphon was a humble shepherd from Phrygia (in modern-day Turkey) who lived during the 3rd century. From a young age, he was known for his deep faith and gift of healing through prayer. According to tradition, he healed the daughter of the Roman Emperor Gordian yet refused wealth or status, choosing a life of simplicity and devotion to Christ. During the persecutions under Emperor Decius, St. Tryphon remained steadfast in his faith and was martyred for his beliefs.
